Tooling for Machining Centers

AIV

AIV is an automatic indexing vise for installation on the table of milling machining centers, with non-self-centering closure — intended as a static locking unit on CNC rotary tables.

Models

The AIV indexing vise is a specific product for installation on the table of milling machining centers, with non-self-centering closure. These vises are exclusively intended for use as a static locking unit (mounting on CNC rotary tables, with rotating tools); they cannot be used for turning operations with high rotation speed.

Advantages

  • Allows complete processing, in a single loading and with a single locking, of four faces arranged at 90° (typical of valve bodies, for example) — including the hidden face facing the table — reducing processing time and improving accuracy.
  • Can be applied on 3-axis machine tools; application on 5-axis machines is the best solution, also allowing machining of parts with complex shapes.
  • Made of steel with hardening treatments.
  • Incorporates a coding device for the 4 indexing positions, to check the working position matches the CNC program.
  • Precision and reliability: the vise is built with special types of treated steel; the know-how gained by Effecto in 55 years of presence on the market as manufacturer of precision vices and indexing chucks is the best guarantee.

Designs

Tooling for machine centers are built from hardened steel and designed to machine all four 90° faces of a workpiece, including the hidden face against the table, in a single setup and clamping.

Hydraulic open/close and rotation/indexing mechanisms work alongside a built-in position encoding device that verifies each of the four clamping positions against the CNC program, ensuring accuracy on both 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers.
